Here’s the low down on the process…

THE INQUIRY + INITIAL CONSULTATION:

Once you’ve completed our inquiry form below, we will email you to schedule a short phone call to chat through any details. This will be a no-stress chance for us to connect and talk through your vision prior to us delivering proposal materials!

PROPOSAL MATERIALS:

Within 72 hours of our phone consultation you will receive a cost proposal and moodboard with inspiration for the creative vision. The cost proposal will be broken down by line item for you to review, and we will make any necessary initial edits to refine our working design plan.

BOOKING:

Once you have accepted your initial proposal, we will send you a contract and deposit invoice to secure your date! Upon receipt of those materials, you will be officially on our books for your wedding!

PLANNING:

As you work through the design process, changes are likely to happen! We’re always an email away, and we will begin working through finalizing all the little details of your design plan 45-60 days prior to your wedding date. At 30 days prior we will lock in our plan so that we can execute your vision at the highest level.

THE DAY OF:

The Thistledown Floral team will execute the vision as laid out in your design plan, including set up and breakdown of all items as applicable to your booking.

Here’s some answers to questions you might have…

  • Thistledown Floral is based out of West Michigan and services all of Michigan as well as a limited number of destination weddings per season.

  • Absolutely not! Very few clients know more than a few flower names. That’s where we come in! We will talk through your vision to create a design plan and recommend florals to fit your specific vibe and season!

  • Our minimum for weddings of 100 or more people is $8.000. We know, minimums can be a headache, but the reason we institute this minimum is that it’s the least amount of investment we feel is necessary to execute a full service wedding to our high standard.

    Beyond that, please note that we are always happy to get creative with a design plan that will feel the most impactful within your budget!

  • Absolutely! It’s entirely normal to not have every detail nailed down at the time of booking. We can continue to refine and edit your design plan until 30 days prior to your wedding date.

  • We both grow our own specialty blooms as well as sourcing from other trusted local farmers for the majority of our designs. We supplement with high quality imports where local flowers are not available.

  • We work diligently every day to make sustainable choices. Our primary practices which have been implemented for reducing waste and our carbon footprint are as follows:

    • Growing and sourcing local flowers as our primary product, prioritizing organic growers and composting all organic product for use in our cutting garden

    • Opting to use sustainable and reusable mechanics, with a commitment to never using traditional floral foam in any of our design work

    • Reusing vessels and other hard goods to reduce waste
